We made it to the caretaker's house at Roaring Springs in a little less than 3 hrs. They say that only 1 in 10 visitors to the GC make it to the north rim. Do what you can to be the 1.
And good to know you can squeeze in some hoops if the 24 miles are just not enough for you.
